Sodexo is seeking a Reactive Domestic Assistant to join the team at Ipswich Hospital. You will help create a safe, clean, welcoming environment for patients, staff and visitors, supporting health and wellbeing across the hospital.

Key duties include responding to urgent cleaning requests, performing terminal cleans after discharge or infections, and operating decontamination equipment. You will work with clinical teams and maintain logs and records.

Responsabilités

• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests across theatres, wards and other hospital areas.
• Complete thorough terminal and decontamination cleans following patient discharge or infectious episodes.
• Clean and disinfect rooms to the required FR1 clinical cleaning standards.
• Safely operate Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour and UV-C decontamination equipment.
• Follow infection prevention procedures, safe working practices and SOPs.
• Use EPIC devices to receive, manage and update cleaning tasks in real time.
• Complete cleaning records, checklists and electronic logs accurately.
• Liaise professionally with clinical teams, supervisors and bed management.
• Report equipment faults, hazards, spillages or safety concerns promptly.

Job Introduction

What you’ll do:
