Job summary

Manchester City Council is recruiting a part-time, permanent care worker to deliver short-term reablement support in clients’ own homes. You will help individuals learn or relearn daily living skills, provide personal care, meal preparation and medication support while upholding high health, safety and hygiene standards.

The post operates on a three-week rota, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with travel across Manchester.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in health and social care or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexibly across a three-week rota.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred reablement support in clients' homes.
• Assist with personal care, meals and medication as required.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures and health and safety standards.
