Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal, physical and emotional needs as directed by the registered professional
• Undertake nursing, therapy and social support activities following training and demonstration of competency
• Work without direct supervision on delegated tasks to support the team
• Deliver high quality care to patients in home and clinic settings, respecting patients
• Ensure consent is obtained before any intervention
• Respect patients and carers, maintaining privacy and dignity
• Participate in administering medications, wound care and related tasks as trained
• Provide advice contributing to patient care, wellbeing or education
• Maintain confidentiality of all information gained during duty
• Flexibly work to meet patient needs
