Job summary

Sofidel Group in Swansea is seeking a Warehouse/FLT operator to unload, inspect, and store incoming reels and materials. You will ensure paperwork aligns with loads and perform quality checks as part of a busy warehouse team.

You will operate FLT equipment and clamps, maintain daily housekeeping, and work closely with Day Services and Shift colleagues to meet production needs while upholding safety rules. This is a full-time, on-site role with a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT license and experience operating a forklift.
• Strong health and safety awareness.
• Clamp attachments experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Unload incoming goods from vehicles and record paperwork.
• Visually inspect loads to match paperwork and run quality checks.
• Transport materials using forklift and store in correct bays.
• Complete required documentation and operate equipment safely.
• Collaborate with Day Services and Shift teams and assist colleagues as needed.

PURPOSE

To guarantee raw materials and parent reels unloading, storage and handling in compliance with work instructions and safety guideline.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Unload incoming goods from the vehicles recording all necessary paperwork
• Carry out visual inspection of all incoming loads to ensure that the load matches the paperwork
• Run quality check of all incoming goods
• Transport goods using proper equipment and efficiently stack and store them in the correct storage bay
• Ensure all required documentation is accurately completed
• Operate FLT / Clamp trucks safely and efficiently while meeting productivity and quality expectation
• Transport required reels and raw materials from warehouse to production workstation
• Identify and report any product damage or quality deficiencies
• Perform daily equipment checks and report any faults

• Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
• Carry out periodic stocktaking activities
• Guarantee the warehouse space optimization
• Transport parent reels from paper mill production area to warehouse if required
• Work closely and in cooperation with the rest of the Day Services and Shift teams
• Carry out any other reasonable request and support the colleagues in case of need
• To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift
• To ensure health & safety rules are adhered to

THE PERSON

• Valid FLT license - in-house or external
• Proven experience operating a forklift truck
• Experience using clamp and bale attachments (desirable).
• Strong awareness of health, safety, and safe working practices.
