The Opportunity

As a Raw Materials Technologist, you'll be the key on-site contact for our supplier, ensuring all ingredients and packaging materials meet our quality and safety standards.

You'll be instrumental in carrying out inspections, managing non-conformances, supporting audits, and providing technical guidance to the Goods In team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect raw materials and packaging on delivery and maintain accurate intake records.
  • Conduct risk assessments and technical checks, including allergen and hygiene audits.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve quality issues and obtain certificates of analysis and documentation.
  • Participate in new product feasibilities to ensure the use of food-safe materials.
  • Contribute to customer complaint investigations and traceability exercises.
  • Support internal and external audits and supplier site visits.

  • QA experience within a food manufacturing environment, ideally with direct supplier interaction.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification.
  • Confident using SAP, Excel, and Word for data management and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of ingredient/packaging conformance techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
