Job summary

Major Talent is seeking a Raw Materials Co-ordinator in Yorkshire to coordinate and assess raw materials against specifications, reacting quickly to quality, logistical and production needs. You will review incoming materials, manage NCRs, and work with the Technical team to keep supplier specs up to date, while building relationships with suppliers and supporting site-wide improvement initiatives.

Strong practical butchery knowledge and experience in meat manufacturing are essential, along with

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on knowledge of beef, lamb and pork in a food manufacturing or meat processing setting.
• Strong understanding of raw materials, specifications and butchery processes affecting finished products.
• Proactive, practical and able to work with production teams, technical colleagues and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assess raw materials against specifications and communicate findings to teams and suppliers.
• Review incoming materials and manage NCRs or rejections where needed.
• Develop supplier relationships and support regular performance discussions and supplier calls.
