Silven Recruitment is seeking a Raw Materials Technologist for a busy Yorkshire site. This hands-on role owns incoming supply, ensuring materials arrive in spec and acts as the link between suppliers, planning, and procurement.

You'll be part of a team that values relationships and supports staff development. The position requires experience in raw materials, stock, or supply within food manufacturing, and a genuine people-first approach.

Qualifications

• Experience in raw materials, stock, or supply within food manufacturing (meat a plus).
• People-first approach with suppliers and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and calm under pressure.
• Good commercial awareness around cost, quality and availability.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with suppliers to ensure raw materials arrive within spec.
• Manage rejections and refunds quickly and fairly when product falls short.
• Build strong supplier relationships so they value dealing with the site.
• Stay organised and responsive, so issues are flagged and resolved fast.
• Keep planning and procurement teams informed so the site runs smoothly.
