Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Carlisle is seeking an experienced Senior Raw Materials Technologist to own raw material specifications, risk assessments and supplier compliance. You will ensure materials meet required quality, safety and compliance standards, and work with NPD, Process, Buying and suppliers to bring new materials on site.

You’ll provide technical guidance, assess material suitability, and support audits while maintaining strong collaboration across Technical, NPD, Process and Supply

Qualifications

• Strong experience with raw material specifications and technical documentation.
• Understanding of food quality, safety and compliance.
• Experience with suppliers and supply bases.
• Ability to complete and understand risk assessments.
• Experience supporting or responding to technical audits.
• Attention to detail and data/reporting skills.
• Experience working with Marks & Spencer requirements would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain raw material specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with NPD and Process teams on new products and raw materials.
• Assess new materials and advise on suitability and requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials meet agreed specs.
• Support communication between suppliers, Buyers and customers on RM matters.
• Complete RM risk assessments and implement controls.
• Assist audits and act as technical contact for RM queries.
• Collaborate across Technical, NPD, Process, Buying and Supply Chain teams to uphold quality and safety.
