Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Raw Materials Controller in Wakefield to ensure incoming materials meet quality, spec and safety standards. You will work with Technical, Quality and Production teams to maintain product quality, traceability and compliance, while supporting continuous improvement.

Key duties include inspecting materials, preventing non-conforming products from entering production, keeping records up to date and aiding supplier and internal communications to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Experience within food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of raw material intake, product specifications and quality checks.
• Understanding of food safety, traceability and audit requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Meat processing experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials against specifications, including temperature, quality, packaging and labelling.
• Identify and elevate non-conforming products before they enter production.
• Maintain accurate specifications, intake records and traceability documentation.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Help train colleagues on raw material checks and quality requirements.
