Job summary

New England Seafood International (NESI) is an importer and processor of premium fresh and frozen seafood. The Operative role involves inspecting deliveries, assessing raw materials for quality and legality, sampling for microbiology, and maintaining KPI reporting.

You will work within a team to ensure supplier conformity and accurate intake processing. The role includes managing temperature-controlled storage, updating the Approved Supplier Matrix, and performing regular RMQA calibration and

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles on site after security checks for compliance to specification, including cleanliness and temperatures.
• Assess all batches of raw materials, packaging, and ingredients for quality, legality and allergen control.
• Submit relevant samples of raw material and ingredients for microbiological assessment as scheduled.
• Complete supplier non-conformances and forward to suppliers as needed.
• Maintain KPI data for external reports and sign off intakes on the K2/Business Central system.
• Keep external storage facilities at correct temperatures; ensure RMQA facility cleanliness.
• Support and manage the supplier non-conformance log and data trending.
• Conduct organoleptic assessments of raw materials on delivery.
• Work with intake to keep the Approved Supplier Matrix current and reflective of supplier status.
• Perform calibration checks in RMQA as scheduled.
