Job summary

Zest Recruitment's client, a growing food manufacturing business, is seeking a detail-oriented Materials Planner to support New Product Development and site packaging purchasing.

You will manage materials planning across the site, ensure correct supplier procurement at the right price, report on waste, monitor supplier performance, and maintain contracts while providing coverage for the planning team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' experience in materials planning.
• Experience in the food industry would be beneficial.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience working with MRP systems (M3 would be preferred).
• Confident in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan materials across the site.
• Purchase materials for the New Product Development team at the right price, first time.
• Report on waste and lead waste meetings.
• Manage supplier scorecards – ensuring deliveries are on time and in full, while monitoring supplier performance.
• Purchase packaging for the site.
• Administer and maintain supplier contracts.
