ABP UK is hiring an Inbound Goods In Operative at our Glasgow site. You will oversee all incoming raw materials, ensuring compliance with purchase specs, quality standards and food safety requirements. You will manage goods-in control, verify weights, and maintain full traceability in the system.

Qualifications

• Experience with documentation control and weight verification.
• Ability to process deliveries accurately and maintain traceability.
• Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel; good IT and email skills.

Responsibilities

Role Definition

Responsible for overseeing all incoming raw material deliveries to ensure compliance with purchase specifications, quality standards, and food safety requirements. Manages goods-in operations, including weight verification, documentation control, and accurate system booking to maintain full traceability. Ensures immediate escalation of shortages, quality issues, or non-conformances. Leads intake operatives and maintains audit-ready standards in line with company and retailer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure correct documentation (delivery notes, batch codes, health certs)
• Confirm PO vs physical delivery (weight, cut, spec)
• Escalate shortages / overages immediately
• Have good IT skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and E-Mail and be able to work on your own initiative.
• Self-motivated and able to develop excellent product knowledge.
• Organised and assertive.
• Able to use own initiative

Pay & Shift Pattern:

negotiable & 40 hours per week.
