Job summary

ABP UK Glasgow site is hiring for a permanent, full-time Production role focused on the retail room. You will own line performance, drive OEE improvements and ensure GMP, traceability and safety compliance across teams.

Lead a team of supervisors, coordinate with Planning and Engineering, and drive continuous improvement in throughput and service levels. Negotiable salary with 40 hours per week and onsite work.

Responsibilities

• Own the full production performance of the retail room, including line outputs, shift targets and quality.
• Monitor and drive improvements in OEE, yield, giveaway and labour efficiency.
• Ensure daily production schedules are met through resource planning and machine utilisation.
• Collaborate with Butchery, Mince room and Debag areas to ensure steady product flow.
• Lead performance reviews, root cause investigations and downtime tracking.
• Ensure traceability, GMP, allergen control and food safety compliance.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Manager and line leaders to build a strong team.
• Use daily data and systems to track, challenge and report on KPIs.
• Represent the area in daily reviews and coordinate with Planning and Engineering.

Role Definition:

Responsible for all aspects of production within the retail room, including ownership of line performance, output targets, OEE, labour efficiency, yields, giveaway, downtime management, and GMP. While also overseeing the integration of Butchery, Mince Room and Debag areas, the main focus is on the performance and control of the finished product lines within this.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the full production performance ofthe production hall, including line outputs, shift targets, and quality.
• Monitor and drive improvements in OEE, yield, giveaway, and labour efficiency.
• Ensure daily production schedules are met through optimal resource planning and machine utilisation.
• Collaborate with Butchery, Mince room and Debag areas to ensure steady product flow into production lines.
• Lead performance reviews, root cause investigations, and downtime tracking.
• Ensure traceability, GMP, allergen control, and food safety compliance are consistently delivered.
• Mentor and develop Assistant Manager and line leaders to build a strong team and succession pipeline.
• Use daily data and systems (e.g., Innova, PI, Piranha, Shire) to track, challenge, and report on KPIs.
• Represent the area in daily review meetings and collaborate with Planning, Engineering, and Technical departments.
• Ensure OTIF service level to our customers

Personal Specification

• Speaking, writing and understanding good spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, team management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process)
