Job summary

Workspace Group Plc is seeking a Rates Operations Manager to own the end-to-end business rates function across our property portfolio, overseeing occupancy events through to payment, allocation, reconciliation and reporting.

You will partner with Finance, Leasing, Credit Control and Technology, ensuring compliance with local authority and VOA requirements while driving process improvement and robust controls.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years' experience in business rates administration, council billing or rating operations.
• Strong knowledge of rateable values, liability periods, reliefs and local authority processes.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, reporting, payment activity and financial reconciliations.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end business rates function for Workspace Group’s property portfolio.
• Oversee occupancy events, payment, customer allocation, reconciliation and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with local authority and VOA requirements; manage stakeholder relationships.
