Job summary

Workspace Group is seeking a Rates Operations Manager to own the end-to-end business rates function across our property portfolio. You will oversee processes from occupancy events through payment, allocation, reconciliation and reporting, while maintaining controls and compliance with local authority and VOA requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in business rates administration, council billing or rating operations.
• Strong knowledge of rateable values, liability periods and reliefs.
• Experience with budgets, forecasts, reporting and reconciliations.
• Ability to interpret business rates demands and council correspondence.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end business rates function across the property portfolio.
• Oversee occupancy events, payment processing, allocations and reconciliation.
• Maintain strong controls and comply with local authority/VOA requirements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasts and performance reporting for the function.
• Collaborate with Finance, Leasing, Credit Control and Technology.
