Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Network Engineering Specialist to optimise ESN RAN performance across 4G/LTE for public safety networks. The role focuses on UE log analysis, traces, and end-to-end LTE troubleshooting to ensure service availability and optimal user experience.

You’ll work in a hybrid setup in London or Bristol, collaborating with engineering, delivery and vendor teams to define corrective actions and share best practices for network improvements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in mobile telecommunications as RAN Performance/Optimisation SME.
• Proven ability to analyse UE logs, traces and perform end-to-end troubleshooting.
• Deep understanding of 4G LTE, radio performance optimisation, and public safety comms.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed analysis of UE logs, network traces and protocol captures to identify performance issues and service degradation.
• Conduct end-to-end troubleshooting across LTE networks, including SIP signalling, PTT, SRTP and DTLS.
• Analyse drive test logs and network protocol traces to determine root cause of defects and underperforming KPIs.
• Investigate systematic issues affecting ESN performance and customer experience.
• Utilise data from multiple sources including UE events, logs, drive testing, OSS performance data and network change records.
• Work with engineering, delivery and vendor teams to implement corrective actions.
• Support development of performance optimisation strategies and network improvements.
• Provide technical leadership for ESN-related performance issues.
