A leading aviation services company is seeking a dedicated Ramp Agent in Manchester to join their dynamic team. Responsibilities include loading baggage and cargo, assisting with pushback operations, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The ideal candidate will have ramp operations experience, a full UK driving licence, and fluency in English. This role demands flexibility in a fast-paced environment with a main roster pattern of 6 days on, 3 days off.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in ramp operations, ideally with heavy or operational machinery.
• Full UK driving licence required – minimum 1 year driving experience preferable.
• Successful completion of reference checks and medical reports.
• Full UK driving licence with at least 1 year driving experience.
• Safety-driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
• Pre-employment checks: references, criminal record checks and medical report per dnata and CAA security regulations.

Responsibilities

• Load baggage, cargo, and mail into aircraft.
• Assist with aircraft towing and pushback operations.
• Maintain good housekeeping and security of the ramp.
• Complete damage reports for equipment and baggage.
• Operate mobile and fixed ramp equipment; maintain housekeeping and security.
• Adhere to company procedures and instructions.

Are you prepared to take on one of the most action‑packed roles in the aviation industry? At dnata we’re seeking courageous and energetic individuals to join our team of Ramp Agents. Every day is a mission to keep our customer airlines’ aircraft soaring. You will work flexibly as part of a multi‑skilled team operating plant and equipment to load baggage, cargo, and mail into aircraft; assist with aircraft towing and pushback operations; operate aircraft in‑plane loading systems and terminal baggage belt systems; complete damage reports for equipment and baggage; operate mobile and fixed equipment; maintain good housekeeping and parking discipline; maintain general security of the ramp; and comply with company procedures and instructions.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in ramp operations, ideally with heavy or operational machinery.
• Ability to carry out both system‑supported and manual loading/unloading of bags.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Full UK driving licence required – minimum 1 year driving experience preferable.
• Safety‑driven with the ability to maintain a safe and secure working environment.
• Pre‑employment checks: successful completion of reference checks, criminal record checks, and a satisfactory medical report to meet dnata and CAA security regulations.

Hours of Work

Hours: 40 hours per week. Main roster pattern is a ‘6 days on, 3 days off’ with a mixture of early and late shifts. The earliest start time is 05:00 and the latest finish time is approximately 23:00. Some flexibility is required.
