Job summary

Brett Aggregates, the UK's largest independent supplier of aggregates, seeks a Site Supervisor for its new railhead in Chichester. You will safely load/unload aggregates, manage stock and oversee rail deliveries, ensuring high safety and service standards.

Requirements include health and safety focus, rail and plant operation experience, NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, and strong paperwork skills to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

• Experience in aggregates or similar industry preferred.
• Operated mobile plant and understood safety procedures.
• Capable of completing operational records accurately.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of health, safety and environmental compliance on site.
• Oversee receipt and discharge of aggregates by rail safely and efficiently.
• Load customer and collection vehicles using mobile plant equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring site procedures are followed.
• Manage day-to-day railhead operations with good housekeeping.
• Act as primary contact for customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Carry out inspections, quality checks and record keeping.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and service.
