Millenium Site Services is seeking a Responsible Welding Coordinator to oversee welding quality and compliance across our rail sector operations. You will ensure welding activities meet EN 15085/ISO 3834 standards, working with production, quality, and engineering teams to sustain zero-defect output.

The role requires a recognised RWC qualification (EN ISO 14731) or equivalent, with experience in rail or heavy engineering, and a strong track record managing WPS/WPQR and welder qualification

Qualifications

• RWC qualification (EN ISO 14731) or equivalent such as IWE/IWT/IWS.
• Experience coordinating welding or quality in rail or heavy engineering.
• Strong knowledge of EN 15085 and ISO 3834.
• Experience managing WPS/WPQR and welder qualification records.
• Confident with auditors, clients, and certification bodies.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsabilités

About the Role

We're looking for a Responsible Welding Coordinator to oversee welding quality and compliance across our operations. You'll make sure all welding activity meets the required standards, working closely with production, quality, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Responsible Welding Coordinator under EN (phone number removed) and ISO 3834-2
• Develop and maintain welding procedures (WPS/WPQR)
• Keep welder qualifications and certifications up to date
• Oversee welding inspection, NDT liaison, and non-conformance management
• Support internal, client, and certification body audits
• Provide technical guidance and training to welding staff
• Investigate welding defects and put corrective actions in place
• Maintain accurate records for traceability and certification

About You

• Recognised RWC qualification (EN (phone number removed) / ISO 14731) or equivalent, e.g. IWE, IWT, IWS
• Proven experience in welding coordination or quality, ideally in rail or heavy engineering
• Strong knowledge of EN 15085 and ISO 3834
• Experience managing WPS/WPQR and welder qualification records
• Confident dealing with auditors, clients, and certification bodies
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills
