Job summary

Rullion Managed Services is seeking a Vehicle Technician in Northampton. The role runs Monday to Friday, 06:00-16:00 (50 hours per week) with an umbrella rate of £24.80 after the first 12 weeks, and is inside IR35.

The job involves assembling train interiors and exteriors from engineering drawings, fitting seating and cab equipment, installing mechanical parts, and carrying out refurbishment and upgrades while following health, safety, and engineering procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting or coachbuilding.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Attention to detail and quality standards.
• Knowledge of rail/automotive/aerospace/heavy manufacturing environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assembling train interiors and exteriors from engineering drawings.
• Fitting components such as seating, flooring, doors, windows, panels, and cab equipment.
• Installing mechanical parts.
• Carrying out vehicle refurbishment and upgrade projects.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely.
• Identifying and rectifying defects.
• Working to strict health, safety, and engineering procedures.
