Job summary

Rullion is hiring a Vehicle Technician in Northampton to assemble train interiors and exteriors from drawings, fit seating, doors, panels and cab equipment, and install mechanical parts. You will perform refurbishment and upgrade projects while using hand and power tools safely and following strict health, safety and engineering procedures.

Ideal candidates have mechanical fitting or rail/manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and familiarity with rail, automotive, aerospace, or

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical fitting, coachbuilding, vehicle building or manufacturing.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Knowledge of rail, automotive, aerospace or heavy manufacturing environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble train interiors and exteriors from engineering drawings.
• Fit seating, flooring, doors, windows, panels and cab equipment.
• Install mechanical parts and carry out refurbishment/upgrades.
• Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Identify and rectify defects and follow health and safety procedures.

Job description

Vehicle Technician - Northampton
£24.80 Umbrella (after 12 weeks)
Monday-Friday | 06:00-16:00 | 50 Hours Per Week
Contract Inside IR35

Duties include:

• Assembling train interiors and exteriors from engineering drawings.
• Fitting components such as seating, flooring, doors, windows, panels, and cab equipment.
• Installing mechanical parts.
• Carrying out vehicle refurbishment and upgrade projects.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely.
• Identifying and rectifying defects.
• Working to strict health, safety, and engineering procedures.

Key skills and experience:

• Mechanical fitting, coachbuilding, vehicle building, or manufacturing experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Knowledge of rail, automotive, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing environments is often advantageous.
