Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to assemble train interiors and exteriors from engineering drawings, fitting seating, flooring, doors, and cab equipment, and installing mechanical parts on refurbishment projects.

You will work with hand and power tools in rail/manufacturing environments, following strict health and safety procedures, and identifying defects to uphold quality. This contract role is Inside IR35 and based in Northampton area.

Qualifications

• Mechanical fitting, coachbuilding, vehicle building or manufacturing experience.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Knowledge of rail, automotive, aerospace, or heavy manufacturing environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assembling train interiors and exteriors from engineering drawings.
• Fitting seating, flooring, doors, windows, panels, and cab equipment.
• Installing mechanical parts.
• Carrying out vehicle refurbishment and upgrade projects.
• Using hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment safely.
• Identifying and rectifying defects.
• Working to health, safety, and engineering procedures.
