Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Engineer at Wimbledon to deliver the Class 701 SWR Aventra fleet into service. You will work with the Engineering Team to ensure safety, reliability and performance, coordinating with operations, sourcing, and maintenance teams.

The role requires a degree in engineering and experience with maintenance documentation, MMIS, and regulatory compliance. Excellent collaboration and analytical skills are essential for success in a dynamic, railway-focused

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Knowledge of railway safety regulations, standards, and risk assessment processes.
Familiarity with reliability management tools such as FRACAS and RCM.
Knowledge of Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage comprehensive maintenance documentation and plans.
Establish up-to-date configuration of trains and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and safety standards.
Coordinate with MMIS interfaces and maintenance teams.
Identify hazards during maintenance activities and maintain safety-related documentation.
Conduct risk assessments for proposed changes and report safety issues.
Monitor reliability KPIs and prepare reliability reports.
Support reliability improvements and maintenance optimisations for the fleet.
