Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking a Vehicle Builder in Milton Keynes to assemble and fit mechanical components to rail vehicles, following engineering drawings and build specifications.

You will install interiors, flooring and vehicle equipment, using hand and power tools, while maintaining safety and quality standards. You will work within a production team to meet build schedules. Salary is £33,000 - £38,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in vehicle building or mechanical assembly.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and fit mechanical components to rail vehicles.
• Work from engineering drawings, technical instructions and build specifications.
• Install and fit interiors, flooring, seating, panels and vehicle equipment.
• Carry out mechanical assembly using a range of hand and power tools.
• Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances.
• Work effectively within a production team to meet build schedules.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
