Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Rail Systems M&E Engineer to join our Design and Engineering team. This role will support the delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects, providing technical leadership, design assurance and engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle.

You will work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, safe and sustainable solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• Experience delivering complex Rail Systems and M&E projects.
• Knowledge of multidisciplinary project delivery and rail standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance and review Rail Systems M&E designs to ensure compliance with client requirements and industry standards.
• Lead engineering and technical delivery of complex rail systems projects from concept through construction and commissioning.
• Challenge and improve design and contractor proposals to deliver safe, efficient solutions.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary design activities across signalling, power, communications, M&E and systems integration.
• Manage technical interfaces and ensure effective integration across work packages and stakeholders.
• Support engineering reviews, approvals and assurance processes to achieve successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and regulators to develop practical and innovative solutions.
