Job summary

Alstom in Derby is seeking a Supply Chain Operations Manager to lead a team delivering materials for rail vehicle maintenance across multiple projects. You will ensure on-time delivery, high material availability and optimised inventory, embedding robust processes and tools across the portfolio.

The role requires strong operational leadership, structured problem solving, and experience at scale in transport, rail, or engineering services. This is a 12-month FTC in Derby.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain operations in a leadership role.
• Expertise in ERP systems, data analytics, lean methodologies, and supplier relationship management.
• Strong understanding of logistics, procurement, inventory optimisation, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable supply chain strategies to support business growth and operational excellence.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with engineering, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless integration.
