Job summary

Advance TRS is seeking an experienced Assistant Signalling & Telecoms Maintenance Engineer to support safe delivery of maintenance across signaling and telecom assets within a busy railway environment. You will assist with technical activities, monitor asset performance, and help ensure compliance with safety standards.

The role requires IRSE licence and HNC/HND or equivalent, with collaboration across delivery teams.

Qualifications

Candidates must have relevant technical competence in Signalling and/or Telecoms engineering.
Experience with railway maintenance delivery processes.
Knowledge of safety, assurance and compliance requirements.
Understanding of the operational railway environment.
Experience with fault investigation and rectification.
Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work as part of a technical delivery team.
HNC/HND or equivalent technical qualification.

Responsibilities

Support the maintenance engineer in delivering maintenance engineering activities.
Provide technical guidance to delivery teams.
Assist with monitoring asset performance and maintenance effectiveness.
Support fault finding and rectification activities.
Undertake inspections, surveys and condition assessments.
Assist with assurance activities and technical reviews.
Maintain accurate technical records and asset information systems.
Support review of work plans and engineering documentation.
Ensure maintenance activities are delivered safely and to standards.
Collaborate with teams to improve asset reliability.
