Job summary

Amey Ltd. is hiring a Permanent Construction Manager - Rail Signalling to join the Eastern and Southern team, based at Bedford or Doncaster. The role is on-site, 37.5 hours per week, with regular site attendance including nights.

You will support delivery, supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with safety, procedures and programme requirements. The position offers comprehensive training, potential career progression to Senior Construction Manager, a competitive salary, pension

Qualifications

• Experience delivering signalling construction projects and managing interfaces (track, civils, OLE, E&P, telecoms).
• IRSE licence is desirable. NECOSH/IOSH/SMS training beneficial.
• Understanding of CDM; AMP processes; SMTH/SWTH testing procedures; PTS.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Support tenders with methodologies, pricing and programmes for signalling works.
• Prepare risk assessments and implement control measures.
• Provide information to planning teams for accurate site paperwork.
• Create resource schedules, Work Packages, briefings and permits.
• Order site deliverables (materials, plant) and manage receipts.
• Submit accurate site records to monitor programme and costs; supervise subcontractors.
