Job summary

People Group Limited seeks an Engineering Manager on the client side for two rail projects, one in construction, one in design. The role is hybrid, requiring occasional head office and site visits across Buckinghamshire and Warwickshire.

You will lead a multi-disciplinary team, review designs, and ensure delivery aligns with standards and the programme. This is a full-time assignment of up to 12 months, with a focus on facilitating right-first-time submissions and resolving complex technical

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering and ideally Chartered with the ICE.
• Demonstrable experience on Rail projects, ideally client-side.
• In-depth knowledge of railway standards, regulations and safety protocol.
• Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary scope.

Responsibilities

• Review contractor submissions to support right-first-time delivery.
• Assess design complexity and review temporary works for construction programme.
• Provide confidence in submissions and mitigate delays.
• Lead engineering team and oversee design, development, testing and delivery.
• Manage resources to meet scope, time, cost and quality.
