Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer - Rail/Civil Engineering with civil design or construction experience, to support client-side assurance across structures, earthworks, highways and drainage.

The role offers hybrid working and multiple project offices along a route, with travel to sites as needed. You will work with contractors and designers, review submissions and QA documentation, and help resolve technical queries to ensure compliance and close-out.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering design or construction experience within structures, earthworks, highways, drainage or comparable infrastructure.
• Some practical site experience and an understanding of construction methods.
• Familiarity with technical assurance, construction quality processes or approval documentation.
• Comfortable working with contractors and designers and reviewing technical information.
• Design coordination or design change experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Supporting client-side engineering assurance within an allocated area of civil engineering works.
• Reviewing contractor submissions, inspection and test records, and construction quality documentation.
• Working with contractors and designers to resolve technical queries and review design changes.
• Following up on non-conformances, corrective actions and the evidence required for close-out.
• Supporting technical approvals and ensuring completed works are ready for acceptance.
• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and escalating complex issues to the Senior Project Engineer.
• Permanent position with hybrid working and opportunities to develop into future project phases.
