Job summary

Octavius Infrastructure is recruiting two Assistant Quantity Surveyors to support major rail infrastructure projects across Network Rail’s North West & Central Framework. The roles involve assisting with cost management, procurement and contract administration on schemes such as Cottam Parkway, Farrington and Crewe, with project values around £25m-£30m+.

You will join a collaborative commercial team and gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial role.
• Exposure to NEC contracts.
• Exposure to cost management, contracts or project commercial activities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
• A willingness to learn and develop within a commercial project environment.

Responsibilities

• Cost management, forecasting and reporting.
• Procurement and supply chain engagement.
• Contract administration and change management.
• Subcontractor management, including applications and payments.
• Commercial documentation and project reporting.
• Site visits and engagement with delivery teams.
