Job summary

Tended is recruiting a senior rail programs lead to direct multi-project portfolios and shape outcomes with senior stakeholders. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on delivery across nationally significant rail projects.

You will drive digital delivery practices, accelerate program success, and operate in a hybrid environment with site exposure, client visits, and home working as part of a dynamic, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Rail industry expertise with current PTS certification or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to thrive in a scaling, fast-changing environment with competing priorities.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and strategic leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple rail programs with clear strategy, pace, and structure.
• Partner with senior stakeholders at the C-suite level to shape outcomes and relationships.
• Embed digital delivery tools and drive continuous improvement across programs.
• Resolve high-level operational risks and remove roadblocks to progress across rail initiatives.

Requirements

What You Bring

• Rail Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the rail sector - ideally within an operational environment - along with a current Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification or the ability to obtain one.
