Job summary
Hitachi Rail UK Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Production Planner to join the Central Planning Cell. The role focuses on developing and delivering the operational maintenance plan for the AT200 fleet, coordinating with Engineering and Supply Chain, and ensuring timely execution of maintenance tasks across three shifts.
You will work on backlog reduction, KPI compliance, and continuous improvement while using the SAP MMS system and other IT tools.
Qualifications
- Sound knowledge of railway operations.
- Previous train planning and train diagrams experience.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Self-sufficient and able to work autonomously.
- Experience in lean, KPIs and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Review dispatch requirements to ensure TSA contract obligations.
- Develop and refine the maintenance plan for the AT200 fleet.
- Create maintenance windows and allocate work hours.
- Liaise with Engineering and Supply Chain to allocate resources.
- Monitor backlog and defects to improve reliability.
- Lead daily conference calls and prepare reports.
