Job summary

Thales UK in Glasgow is seeking an Operations Planner to ensure our manufacturing operations run smoothly. You will develop and maintain production and material plans, identify risks, and drive corrective actions to keep schedules on track.

Collaborating with team leaders, program managers and buyers, you will manage capacity planning, lead production review meetings, and support meeting ambitious sales targets of over £205 million.

Qualifications

• Strong MRP II planning skills and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, ideally with ERP systems.
• Exceptional communication and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with complex bills of material and routings (advantageous).
• APICS or Institute of Operations Management qualifications (desirable but not essential)

Responsibilities

• Load customer demands into the Master Production Schedule.
• Planner workbench activities to optimise efficiency.
• Report on material availability, job progress, and inventory management.
• Build strong relationships across teams and contribute to a culture of collaboration and mutual success.
• Develop innovative solutions to process challenges, always aligning with company objectives.
