Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Winsford is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter to deliver essential maintenance and repair services across our Rail, Switchboard manufacture and diesel-powered generation systems. You’ll join a supportive team, receive hands-on training, and have opportunities to broaden your skills across electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Completed an recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with diesel engines or electrical systems in service or MRO environments.
• Comfortable working independently and in a close-knit, goal-focused team.
• Strong communication and documentation skills in regulated environments.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically assemble switchboards for a major programme.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, test and reassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies to strict standards.
• Work with diesel power rail power packs.
• Collaborate with team leads to ensure quality, delivery, and cost expectations are met.
• Maintain high standards of safety, documentation, and shop floor efficiency.
