Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Fitter to support maintenance and repair across rail, switchboard manufacture and diesel power solutions. You will join a supportive team, receive hands-on training, and broaden skills across electrical and mechanical disciplines.

You will mechanically assemble switchboards, inspect and test assemblies, and work with diesel power packs while maintaining safety and documentation standards. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised mechanical or electrical apprenticeship (or equivalent).
• Experience with diesel engines or electrical systems in service/MRO environment.
• Able to work independently and in a close-knit, goal-focused team.
• Good communication and documentation in a regulated environment.
• Hands-on, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
• Overtime may be required to meet peak capacity and customer demand.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically assemble switchboards for a major programme.
• Disassemble, inspect, clean, test and reassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies to strict standards.
• Work with diesel power rail power packs.
• Collaborate with team leads to meet quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Maintain high safety, documentation and shop floor standards.
