Job summary

DB Cargo UK is recruiting a Mobile Operative for the West London area. You will be on the go daily, preparing trains to ensure they are safe for mainline operation and fulfilling customer orders. A 5-week training course accompanies the role to ensure readiness and confidence.

You will contribute to service delivery, work across multiple sites, and be part of a safety-focused, customer‑driven team with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have a safety-focused mindset and be able to follow directions.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare trains and ensure locomotives and wagons are fit for mainline travel.
• Dispatched trains safely and efficiently, liaising with Drivers and Supervisors.
• Contribute to service delivery and support multiple DB Cargo UK sites and worksites.
