Job summary

DB Cargo UK Limited is seeking an Operations Supervisor in the Hinksey area to oversee the depot’s daily operations, including driver teams and mobile operatives, ensuring trains depart safely and efficiently for customers.

You will work with rostering and planning teams to maintain staffing for each shift and liaise with engineering to report defects. The role requires strong organisational skills and a commitment to safety in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and developing a team within a safety-critical environment.
• Ability to plan ahead and communicate clearly with multiple stakeholders.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Drivers, Mobile Operatives and Terminal staff during shifts.
• Plan site operations with Operations Manager and ensure safety checks are completed.
• Coordinate rostering to maintain correct staffing for each shift.
• Report defects to engineering teams and ensure depot safety before trains depart.
• Act as PIC and enforce depot rules, PPE and customer service standards.
