Job summary

Kier Group plc. is seeking an MEP Technical Supervisor to join the Rail team, overseeing quality, safety and compliance of mechanical and electrical installations on construction projects nationwide in the UK.

You will act as the on-site representative to ensure works meet required standards, regulations and design intent, coordinating with subcontractors and the Construction Responsible Engineer to deliver successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in M&E building services/EP installation, inspection, testing and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and inspecting M&E/E&P and SISS installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and standards.
• Conducting routine and ad hoc inspections, ensuring health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintaining detailed site records, including inspection reports, instructions and progress photos.
• Overseeing, witnessing and verifying testing and commissioning activities to ensure system performance meets design intent.
• Acting as the link between the Construction Responsible Engineer and subcontractors for coordination.
