Job summary

TXM Recruit are recruiting three permanent Operations Technicians based in Derby. Location: Derby. Salary: £30,000–£42,000 per year. Role involves carrying out overhauls and repairs in a workshop on rail projects including HVAC units for trains.

Experience in rail or rolling stock is preferred, with candidates from related engineering backgrounds also considered. You will work a shift pattern and contribute to health and safety, productivity and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is essential.
• Effective and professional communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to multitask.
• Able to work individually or as part of a team.
• Strong logical troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment.
• Strip and rewire electrical components and perform electrical testing.
• Read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Work as part of a team to meet operational deadlines.
