Job summary

Network Rail is seeking a maintenance operative to help keep the rail network running safely and efficiently. The role involves outdoor work in a small team, delivering essential maintenance and support services to passengers and freight users.

Training will be provided to develop necessary skills for working on the network. You will join an inclusive, safety‑driven environment with a focus on transferrable skills and career development, and opportunities to progress within a company recently

Qualifications

• Works well in a team and communicates clearly in writing and verbally.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and adherence to procedures.
• Willing to drive company vehicles as required.
• Possesses or is working towards NVQ 1 or equivalent in a relevant subject.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work safely and in line with safe systems of work and method statements.
• Undertake duties as trained and competent.
• Perform activities in a safe, efficient manner and to relevant standards.
• Ensure vehicles, plant, tools and equipment are fit for use and properly stored/disposed.
