Job summary

Arriva TrainCare is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead on-site delivery of rail infrastructure projects in Leeds and across the UK as needed. The role reports to the Construction Manager and requires overseeing safety, quality and schedule on site.

This permanent, full-time position offers 40 hours per week, a company vehicle as projects expand, and a commitment to building strong site teams and effective stakeholder engagement while upholding Arriva's safety standards.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in Construction, Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience managing construction or infrastructure worksites.
• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and project resources.
• Knowledge of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements in construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe and efficient delivery of rail and infrastructure projects on site.
• Plan project timescales, resources and budgets with Project/Construction Managers.
• Direct and supervise site teams, contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, quality standards and documentation.
• Provide practical construction knowledge to support delivery teams.
• Maintain HSQE documentation and promote a positive safety culture.
• Report incidents and variations; support project close-out and handover.
