Job summary

Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Site Engineer with exposure to temporary works to join our UK construction and infrastructure projects in London.

You'll deliver technical works on site, coordinate temporary works, perform setting out with total station, and manage QA documentation alongside the wider engineering team, while promoting health and safety standards. This role sits within our Engineering Enterprise, delivering DfMA and Digital Engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• BSc/HND in Civil Engineering preferred.
• Experience in construction delivery environment.
• Strong setting-out and surveying knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the technical delivery of works from planning through to completion.
• Coordinating temporary works activities and ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Carrying out setting out, dimensional control and survey activities.
• Using total station equipment to support accurate setting out and surveying.
• Preparing and maintaining QA documentation in line with ITPs and quality requirements.
• Working closely with contractors and the engineering team to coordinate delivery.
