Job summary

Amcogiffen is seeking a CAD Technician to join our in-house Civil & Structural Design team in York. You will contribute to a growing portfolio of rail infrastructure projects, producing high-quality drawings and supporting engineers through the design lifecycle.

The role offers development towards EngTech accreditation, with training opportunities, a collaborative work environment and exposure to accessibility, electrification and station improvement schemes across the UK.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience producing engineering drawings within a civil engineering, infrastructure or construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce and develop engineering drawings and technical details in line with CAD standards.
• Support permanent works designs across rail infrastructure and accessibility projects.
• Assist in developing infrastructure designs from concept to detailed design.
• Interpret information and translate requirements into accurate drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to deliver practical engineering solutions.
• Assist with site inspections, surveys and data collection for design development.
• Ensure outputs meet standards and client expectations.
• Help manage design documentation and revisions.
