Job summary

Arcadis in York is seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join the Civils and Structures team on rail and buildings projects. You will contribute to design delivery, develop skills toward Chartered Status, and collaborate with Global Design colleagues to meet budget, timeframes and quality targets.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural engineering.
• 5 years of relevant experience in rail structural design and civil engineering.
• Ability to work with design and project teams at all levels.
• Experience using Autodesk or Bentley CAD software.
• Ability to build and maintain good relationships with internal teams.
• Working toward Incorporated or Chartered Status of a relevant institution.

Responsibilities

• Provide design delivery on civil and structural engineering projects, mainly rail-focused.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project requirements and quality targets.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports ensuring accuracy and standards.
• Engage with Global Design colleagues and other engineering teams as needed.
• Contribute to technical issue resolution and project documentation.
