Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to lead the electrical delivery on the East Coast Main Line contract. You will oversee site teams across multiple locations, ensuring safety, programme delivery, and quality across all works.

The role requires a strong background in electrical installations within rail telecoms, station systems, M&E, or infrastructure projects, plus leadership experience on multi-site schemes.

Qualifications

• Experience on rail or infrastructure projects as Construction/Electrical/Site Manager or Senior Supervisor.
• Experience delivering electrical, telecoms, station systems, power, M&E installations.
• Valid PTS certification and current ECS card.
• SMSTS qualification and strong construction management knowledge.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.
• Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced rail environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of electrical works across rail infrastructure projects.
• Managing site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and specialist contractors.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Coordinating construction activities with project managers, engineers, and client representatives.
• Reviewing work plans, construction methodologies, and project documentation.
• Monitoring progress and resolving technical or operational issues that may impact delivery.
• Ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards, project specifications, and health and safety requirements.
• Managing site resources, materials, and labour requirements.
• Conducting site inspections, audits, and progress reviews.
• Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with industry best practice.
