Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Manager for a major rail infrastructure programme on the East Coast Main Line. The role focuses on planning, coordinating, and delivering electrical works across multiple sites while leading site teams and subcontractors.

You'll ensure safety, on-time delivery, and compliance with Network Rail standards, with responsibilities spanning progress reviews, resource management, and stakeholder engagement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Electrical Manager, Site Manager, or Senior Supervisor on rail or infrastructure projects.
• Experience delivering electrical, telecoms, station systems, power, M&E, or infrastructure installations.
• Valid PTS certification.
• Current ECS card.
• SMSTS qualification.
• Strong understanding of construction management, programme delivery, and commercial awareness.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.
• Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced rail environment.

Responsibilities

• Leading the delivery of electrical works across rail infrastructure projects
• Managing site teams, supervisors, subcontractors, and specialist contractors
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards
• Coordinating construction activities with project managers, engineers, and client representatives
• Reviewing work plans, construction methodologies, and project documentation
• Monitoring progress and resolving technical or operational issues that may impact delivery
• Ensuring compliance with Network Rail standards, project specifications, and health and safety requirements
• Managing site resources, materials, and labour requirements
• Conducting site inspections, audits, and progress reviews
• Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with industry best practice
