Job summary

CAF is seeking a Demand Planning Specialist to plan and control material and services demand across UK projects, including Overhaul Facilities, and support the SAP S/4HANA implementation.

You will act as SAP Key User for Demand Planning, manage reorder proposals, monitor consumption, and produce reports and KPI trackers. Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel is required; rail/engineering background is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven relevant experience in demand planning and supply chain activities.
• Proven relevant experience using an ERP System and computer skills.
• Advanced Excel user (macros, pivot tables, formulas).
• CIPS qualified or working towards is desirable.
• English language and Maths at standard grade 3 or above (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in engineering or rail environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage demand planning, inventory parameters, and reorder proposals across all UK projects, depots, and Overhaul Facilities, ensuring material availability.
• Monitor material consumption for corrective spares and define reorder levels.
• Produce and manage the weekly reorder list for Central Stores to avoid stockouts.
• Prepare monthly material reorder proposals for all stores based on consumption data and lead times.
• Act as SAP Key User for Demand Planning, supporting implementation, testing, training, and data governance.
