Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Manchester is recruiting Construction Managers to lead the safe, efficient delivery of rail infrastructure projects. You will manage construction, installation, commissioning and handover, coordinating teams, subcontractors and suppliers.

The role emphasizes safety, quality and cost control with a focus on building strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. A pre-employment medical assessment is required, and the candidate will hold an IRSE licence or equivalent

Qualifications

• Experience delivering construction, installation or infrastructure projects in rail, signalling, civil engineering or related environment.
• Strong grasp of planning, budgeting, risk management and change control.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management across customers, suppliers and teams.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental excellence with regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of construction and installation activities, managing project teams, subcontractors and suppliers to meet safety, quality, programme and cost objectives.
• Drive project controls: planning, budgeting, reporting, risk management and resource utilisation.
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors and internal stakeholders as the main site contact.
• Champion safety and environmental culture, ensuring compliance with procedures and standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct audits, and ensure site works and documentation meet requirements.
• Oversee site progress through to handover, providing leadership and clear communication.
