Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is recruiting an experienced Site Foreman to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure projects around Birmingham and Coventry. You will supervise site teams, coordinate resources and ensure safety, quality and programme adherence.

Ideal candidates have track drainage, drainage, groundworks or heavy civils experience and can lead gangs and subcontractors while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Foreman or Foreman within civil engineering or rail infrastructure.
• Track drainage experience is highly desirable.
• Background in drainage, groundworks or heavy civils.
• Knowledge of RAMS and construction drawings advantageous.
• SMSTS or SSSTS would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day site activities across track drainage and civil works.
• Coordinate gangs of operatives and subcontractors.
• Oversee drainage installation, pipework, chambers, ducting and civils.
• Ensure works follow drawings, specifications and RAMS.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials to maintain productivity.
• Monitor progress to align with project programme.
• Brief site teams on daily activities and safety requirements.
• Ensure works meet required quality standards.
• Identify and report issues, delays or changes to site management.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress updates.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance.
